Psalm 1:6
For the LORD knows the way of the righteous,
But the way of the ungodly shall perish.
He Who was, He Who is, He Who will be -- the eternally existing One -- the Creator of the
heavens and the earth "knows the way of the righteous." He knows the path they should travel.
He knows the path they are traveling. He knows their every sorrow and joy, their every difficulty
and joy, their every failure and triumph. He knows each and every person who is His. He even
knows the number of hairs upon their head.
He knows them to take care of them. He is the loving Father caring for His children. He is the
loving Shepherd caring for His sheep. He is Yaweh, Jehovah, the God of Abraham and Moses,
Who remembers His promises and keeps them.
In contrast, those who have no respect for God, those who have no desire to hear Him, those
who have no desire to obey Him -- they have no relationship with the LORD, they do not know
where to go, they have no protection, they have no care. They perish spiritually, if not physically.
"And now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build
you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified." [Acts 20:32]
